Below is a basic quick guide to assist residents with getting started in navigating available resources for recovery. About the Consolidated Debris Removal Program...
Debris removal happens in two phases:
Phase 1: Hazardous Materials Removal (Automatic)
Local and federal agencies remove hazardous waste (propane tanks, paint, herbicides, etc.).
You do not need to take any action for this phase.
Phase 2: Fire Debris Removal (Optional – Requires Opt-In)
Residents must submit a Right of Entry (ROE) Form to allow government contractors to clear fire debris.
Deadline: March 31, 2025 – Apply at lacounty.pw/debris
⚠️ Important: Moving or spreading debris will disqualify your property from the free debris removal program.
Safety Precautions:
If you visit your burned property, wear:
N95 mask or respirator
Gloves, long sleeves, pants, and safety eyewear
Shoe coverings
